We've made it safely to Sacramento. It was a pleasant trip. On my first flight, I was able to talk to a christian, Jackson native on his way to St. Lewis for a work conference. We discussed many things, but the main point of our conversation was that as christians we can offer hope and make a difference in the world. This conversation was very encouraging and as we landed in Chicago to go our own ways he yet again gave me a charge of God's blessing to make a difference and share the hope of Christ; I did likewise for him as he amoung his coleages. We had a four hour layover in Chicago where we (a few summer missionaries working in California not on my team) enjoyed a midmorning meal and played cards. The last flight was much longer, but it was pleasant as well. I sat next to a couple from CA and enjoyed chatting with them for a while. We flew over the Sierra Nevada mountains which were stunning. God has truly blessed my adventure so far. I feel surrounded by and greatly appreciate your prayers. Praise God!
We are now heading to Jenness Park for orientation and training. I will be there until Friday lunch.
Philipians 2:9-11
9 Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
glad to know you made it safely! i'm excited to keep up with your journey again this summer!
