Awesome!

I don't believe I can put into words how blessed our team has been this week! We stayed the first night with Fred and Brenda, who are wonderful! Now we are with David and Marilyn who are equally wonderful!  They are soo in love with God and soo in love with each other.  It allows for a very comfortable environment to have as home base this week.  We are working with Placer Heights Baptist Church doing a VBS.  I'm working with recreation with Hana and Andrew.  Andrew is the pastor's son.  Pastor Mark and his family came to Placer Heights this week.  He has just been called here from Georgia.  They are a wonderful family with a heart for the people here in Placerville.  Recreation has been a great time to get to know most of the students.  I love wearing the students out and sending them back to spend more time learning about God.  Another thing our team is getting to do is lead closing service.  This is a great time for God to work in us to worship and bring the experiences of the day together.  Yesterday afternoon we were able to go to Fred's house with his four grand kids and swim in their pool.  It was a great time of fellowshipping and sharing life with the kids.  This afternoon we went with pastor's family to Coloma, which is the town where the 49 gold rush began.  It was neat to see the old building, swim in the river, and pan for gold!  I had no luck on the gold front, but Hana and Kelsey found a few flakes!  This evening we came back to David and Marilyn's house for dinner with the pastor's family.  After dinner we went out front to go see the donkey's and sheep.  One donkey was named shadow (all black), and we rode him.  It was an experience.  After riding Shadow for a few seconds he was done.  He arched his back and dumped me off his rear.  I'm a little sore and will have a bruise, but the laughter that was caused by my fall far outweighed my embarrassment or pain.  Now I'm sitting in the den thinking over things.  I am so blessed God is soo good.  He has allowed us to see beauty and experience majesty!  I pray that wherever you are you may know the power of God and how much He loves you.
