The end is near!

I’m at my last placement for the summer, Madison Avenue Baptist Church. They are going out in faith this week. They are having VBS for the first time in years. The average age of church members is 65 and there are no children in the church. Despite these setbacks last night we had seven students! Praise God! Yes, it is a small group and most churches are disappointed with that number, but I’m excited. As summer missionaries we don’t have a ton of responsibilities at this church because people have stepped up to serve, but if we had not been coming the church probably wouldn’t have attempted to pull this together. Please continue to pray for the ministry here. I will be going home on Thursday, but Hana, Maggie, and the local churches will still be here. I was talking to the pastor of Madison Avenue last night and he specifically asked for prayer as they have a vision for a children’s ministry, but aren’t quite sure yet how to make that vision a reality.
God has really blessed my time here and I know He has been faithful. When I get home I will almost immediately go to work. My first meeting is Friday morning, so as I have seen God’s faithfulness this summer I trust God will be faithful as I go into my next area of ministry, my classroom. Thank you for following me this summer. I wouldn’t be able to do anything without the power of Christ, the body of Christ, my friends, and family. I love you guys/y’all!
